To spend time knowing them inside and out. Trying to gather info on all aspects of their worlds but at the same time to see the cooperation and greater community and the collective. In that way you can work from the inside first, and then it might mean stepping out of a few comfort zones and when that happens it welcomes all into an exploration of a literary space and a people not necessarily made up of just the people we know. It is so true. No...Bil Wright has hit the bullseye. It is so true. Now i look back, teachers and writers have always taught me to write what I know and be creative with it. How can I do that without offending other cultures, race, ethics, religious, and so on. I know basics about every thing but not to the point where i can write a whole book about it and thats what I know. Thats not what they meant. They should have educated us in a better way in order not to offend any person who reads "what you know". It is important to do some research and be able to have that full confidence in your story. Now it makes you think, you took those advice from well respected writers, are their stories true? Do they really research to make sure they got the right information or did they just simply write what they know?

Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09553760110291781285noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6214531909685193256.post-33386792304541293782013-09-20T11:03:33.739-04:002013-09-20T11:03:33.739-04:00And, all the people in school who said, "writ...And, all the people in school who said, "write what you know" didn't actually hear the limiting irony to the imagination in the phrase...tanita✿davishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01671822274852087499noreply@blogger.com
